Description:
In this workshop, you will learn everything you need to know to design and prepare an iPad app for submission to the Apple App Store – without writing code! Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition, provides designers with an intuitive way to create engaging, interactive iPad apps without writing code! Design your iPad app layout in InDesign, then move to Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition to package for the App Store. Plus, Creative Cloud members can now create an unlimited number of iPad apps for submission to the Apple App Store.

What you’ll learn:
Design your app:

• Use InDesign to design your iPad app layout
• Use InDesign to add interactive overlays – there are 10 to choose from -­‐ including hyperlinks, slide shows, audio and video, panorama and pan and zoom to iPad app layout
• Add interactive HTML such as Google maps or animations created in Adobe Edge
• Preview your content quickly and easily – including interactivity-­‐ directly on a connected iPad or on your desktop for rapid testing

Build your app:

• Move directly from InDesign to the Digital Publishing Suite App Builder to prepare the final file that you can then submit to the Apple App Store

Best suited for designers: Some knowledge of InDesign required
Assumed Knowledge: Some knowledge of InDesign required
What you’ll need: InDesign CS5, CS5.5, CS6 or CC, DPS Desktop Tools, iPad (optional)
Length of workshop: 2 hours minimum
Adobe products used: Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition, InDesign
