JOEL BEUKELMAN

Joel Beukelman is a Product Designer in Southern California, also the former Head of Design at Design Inc, Senior Interaction Designer at Google/Android & Netflix. Over the past 6 years, he’s had the opportunity to contribute to a variety of products/apps from early-stage startups to global mobile applications. Balancing an enjoyment of family, craft beer, metal/punk, tattoos and vlogging, Joel’s committed to helping a select number of startups and seeking a new product & team to contribute to full-time. bkl.mn

While Joel was in Honolulu, he created this alter-ego on Instagram and filmed this vlog entry.

MIKE PENG

Mike Peng is a co-managing director and co-founder of IDEO Tokyo. In his role, Mike works with colleagues to set the strategic direction of the business in Japan, mentor designers, create new offerings, and lead client relationships and projects in Asia. Prior to Tokyo, Mike helped start-up IDEO’s New York office and lead its design research discipline. Mike has taught at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID). He’s also a visiting lecturer at University of Tokyo, Keio University, and Kyushu University.

Mike graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in cognitive science and an emphasis in neuroscience. In his spare time, he plays tennis competitively (his high-school court is named after him!) and is an amateur hip-hop dancer who finds solace in reality TV and celebrity gossip. Mike Peng

DARA WEINBERG

Dara Weinberg is a graphic designer based in Los Angeles. A former wardrobe stylist and costumer for TV and film, she switched gears in 2009 and moved to San Francisco to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Academy of Art University. Upon graduation, she returned to L.A. to join Ludlow Kingsley, where she is currently a Senior Designer.

Dara has experience working with a wide range of clients in print, packaging, and digital design, brand design and strategy. She loves to create identity systems that extend across a variety of experiences, and strives for a holistic, thoughtful and unexpected approach. Her work has been recognized by Brand New and GD USA. She’s an avid traveler, idiom enthusiast, and frequent game night organizer. Ludlow Kingsley
