Hawaii’s 5-O design competition was created in 2001 by AIGA Honolulu and Hawaii's printers to celebrate graphic design excellence. As the competition has evolved to include web, motion and app design, still only 50 winners are chosen. Eligible projects are judged for craft, concept, and aesthetic achievement as determined by our nationally-recognized judges, who you can meet at the show!

THE 10TH HAWAII'S 5-O

2017 marks our 10th biennial 5-O Show. Over the years, 5-O winners have come to represent excellence in design in Hawaii. It highlights local talent in the fields of design as well as print production, photography, illustration and copywriting. Since the first 5-O show in 2001, we've named 450 winners. The 2017 winners will bring this distinguished pool to 500.

THE WINNERS ON DISPLAY

The winning work for the 2015-2017 period will be revealed during the Award Gala on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Prince Waikiki. The Top 5 winners will be presented with trophies. Following the program, the printed pieces will be on display. It will be a night to remember. May the best designs win.
